Phyllis C Adams EdD, RN, NP-C, FNP-BC, FAANP, FNAP

Dr. Phyllis Adams received degrees from Ohio State University, Texas Southern University, and Texas Woman's University. She is clinical associate professor and director of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at The University of Texas at Arlington and has over 40 years of experience as a professional nurse and educator. Her research and program development focuses on sickle cell disease and trait across the life span. Dr. Adams continues to have an active role in APN education, clinical practice, and leadership through publications, consultations, and presentations focused on sickle cell disease at state, national, and international levels.
