Kate Elizabeth Gawlik DNP, RN, APRN-CNP, FAANP, FNAP

Dr. Kate Gawlik is an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at The Ohio State University. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her expertise is in the cardiovascular population and preventative health, parental stress and burnout, and health sciences' education. Dr. Gawlik has been working with the national Million Hearts initiative since 2012 and designed an educational module that has led to the screening and education of over 90,000 people nationwide. She serves as the Director of Undergraduate Health and Wellness Academic Programming, the Co-Director of the Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness, and theĀ Project Manager for the Million HeartsĀ® initiatives at The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Dr. Gawlik was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Faculty Award and the 2017 Outstanding Leadership/Transformer Award from The Ohio State University College of Nursing. Dr. Gawlik was award the State Award for Excellence from AANP in 2018. She was inducted as a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice in 2022.
