Denise Link PhD, RN, WHNP-BC, FAAN, FAANP

Dr. Link has been a Women's Health NP since 1979 and is a Clinical Professor Emerita at Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She retired in 2020 from her position as the Specialty Coordinator for the Women's Health DNP program at ASU. Dr. Link has been awarded over $2 million in grant funding to support healthcare for low income, uninsured adults and adolescents. Dr. Link is a graduate of the UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Executive Leadership Program. She has held various positions on the Arizona NP Council (Chapter 9 Arizona Nurses Association) board of directors. Dr Link is a member of the AzNA Public Policy Committee and past AzNA Governmental Affairs Officer. She is a a member of the AANP Public Policy Committee and served two terms as a Member at Large on the AANP Fellows Executive Committee. She was inducted as an  AANP Fellow in 2013 and a two time recipient of the AANP State Award for Excellence (NP Excellence and NP Advocate). Dr. Link has been honored by her state March of Dimes chapter as Nurse of the Year, and by Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health as an Inspirational WHNP. She is an inaugural member of the Duke/Johnson and Johnson Nurse Leadership Program (NLP) Advisory Board. A Department Editor for the Journal for Nurse Practitioners, Dr. Link has numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and text books, and has presented at state, regional, national, and international conferences on women's health, NP education, and health policy. She is currently enjoying retirement from full time practice and teaching, available for consultation on policy, clinical services, and advancing the NP role.
