Susan M Kendig RNC, MSN, WHNP, FAANP

Ms. Kendig is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri—St. Louis, College of Nursing. She is responsible for the women's health, pharmacology, health policy, and NP role development curriculum. She also maintains a clinical practice. Throughout her career, Ms. Kendig has blended practice and policy to improve women's access to health care and NP services. She has held appointments to statewide committees related to health care and NP issues. Her awards for community service include the March of Dimes National Volunteer Leadership Award and the AWHONN 2003 Award for Excellence in Community Service. A frequent invited lecturer and author, she presents nationally and has authored numerous chapters and articles on women's health, advanced practice nursing, and policy. Ms. Kendig serves on the NPWH Board of Directors as Policy Chair. She is currently pursuing a Law degree, focusing on policy and legislation.
