Katherine J Kenny DNP, RN, ANP-BC, FAANP, FAAN

Dr. Katherine Kenny is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Professor at Arizona State University. She earned her MS degree in1996 and her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree in 2008, both from Arizona State University. She is the Associate Dean of the Academic Enterprise at Arizona State University Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. She was the principal investigator for a $1.4 million Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant awarded in September 2012 -2016 to fund primary care nurse practitioner education. Dr. Kenny has maintained an active clinical practice as an RN since 1975 and as a nurse practitioner since 1996. She was the founder and co-owner of the Transition Clinic, a nurse practitioner-run clinic to transition patients from acute care to community care from 2010 - 2015. Dr. Kenny presents nationally and internationally and has numerous publications in peer reviewed nursing and medical journals. Her clinical expertise includes pre-operative evaluation, transitional care, palliative care, and adult primary care. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
