Dixie Lee Harms
DNP, ARNP, FNP-C, BC-ADM, FAANP
Dr. Harms is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and is employed full-time in internal medicine. She subspecializes in all aspects of diabetes care and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for both women and men. She is also board certified in Advanced Diabetes Management.
Dixie obtained her Bachelor's and Master's of Science of Nursing from Drake University and her Post-Master's FNP Certificate from Clarkson College in 1997. She has obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Iowa in 2009.
AANP activities include past recording secretary of the AANP Board of Directors, conference co-chair, journal reviewer for JAANP, secretary and nominations committee for FAANP. She has also served as membership secretary of the Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society.
