Laurie Anne Ferguson DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-C, CPNP, FAANP, FNAP

Laurie Anne Ferguson, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-C, CPNP is Dean & Associate Professor at Loyola University in New Orleans.

Dr. Ferguson has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 1984 and taught at the University level since 1993. She has practiced as a NP in a wide variety of geographic locations in the United States and Canada; and in an array of clinical settings, including ER, occupational and primary care. Dr. Ferguson is Dean of the College of Nursing and Health at Loyola University and continues to maintain an active clinical practice in a rural and underserved community, seeing patients of all ages. She is currently funded for research by the American Cancer Society (ACS) in the area of Health Literacy and colorectal screening.

Dr. Ferguson has published and presented on a wide range of health-related topics and is a Fellow in the National Academies of Practice and received the Nightingale Award as Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association in 2013.
