Laurie Anne Ferguson DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-C, CPNP, FAANP, FNAP

Laurie Anne Ferguson, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FNP-C, CPNP is Dean & Professor at Emory & Henry College.

Dr. Ferguson has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 1984 and taught at the University level since 1993. She has practiced as a NP in a wide variety of geographic locations in the United States and Canada; and in an array of clinical settings, including ER, occupational and primary care. Dr. Ferguson is the Founding Dean of the School of Nursing at Emory & Henry College in Emory, VA, and continues to maintain an active clinical practice in a rural and underserved community, seeing patients of all ages. She co-edited, Rural Health Nursing: Barriers and Benefits in 2022.

Dr. Ferguson has published and presented on a wide range of health-related topics and is a Fellow in the National Academies of Practice and received the Nightingale Award as Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association in 2013.
