Mary Ellen Roberts DNP, RN, APNC, FAAN, FAANP

Mary Ellen Roberts is recognized for her clinical work and teaching of nurse practitioners. In particular she has been recognized repeatedly for clinical excellence from the Governor of the State of New Jersey, Sigma Theta Tau, and the College of Saint Elizabeth and Seton Hall University. She has developed numerous strong partnerships between nurse practitioners and physicians to promote the role of the nurse practitioner and has promoted the role of the NP at the state level, as well. She is co-author of the State Awards for Excellence and the Nurse Practitioner Advocate Awards. Nationally, she is recognized for her clinical excellence and has participated in numerous boards as a clinical expert. She participates in the education of nurse practitioners through direct classroom teaching, precepting, and continuing education programs and has served on the Board of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in various positions, she is currently Past President. She has served as co-chair of the AANP National Conference, Secretary & Trustee of the AANP PAC, Treasurer of the Fellows. She is currently a Assistant Professor at Seton Hall University, her clinical expertise is care of the adult patient with cardiovascular disease, specializing in hypertension, lipid disorders, cardiac arrythmias.
