Janet DuBois DNP, FNP, ARNP, FAANP, FNAP

Janet DuBois, DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, FAANP, FNAP, is an Associate Professor at Loyola University, New Orleans and teaches in their MSN and DNP programs. Dr. DuBois earned her MSN and DNP from the University of South Florida, Tampa. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of experience and is a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice and a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and serves as the Chair of their Executive Committee. She is also president of the Manatee Area Council for Advanced Practice Nurses and the Immediate Past President of the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network. Dr. DuBois is an invited presenter for the AANP National Conference and speaks at state, regional, national, and international conferences on professional practice issues, health policy, and education.Her advocacy and participation in legislative and health policy activities spans her entire nursing career and is focused on improving the health of Florida’s citizens while promoting and educating others on the role of the NP. She works closely with legislators, the Florida Board of Nursing, professional organizations, and other stakeholders to address health policy issues and develop new legislation and policies to ensure access and quality care for all Florida citizens.
