"Nurse Practitioner Business Owner"
Having been in Nursing for a very long time (RN since '78, GNP since '88 and FNP since '98), a few years ago, I found it was time to make a few changes and opened my own practice.
Because of the lack of information in just how to do this, I started to blog (www.NPBusiness.ORG) about the process. That eventually lead to something I found I really love...I now get to work with NPs who are doing the same. (For more on this visit the blog listed above as well as www.NPBusinessOwner.com.)
At the same time, I've begun to morph my primary care practice into something I've wanted to do for years...work with women who have problems with continence.
The best thing about our profession...you can change and adapt to your needs as well as those of your patients and clients.
