The AANP and the AANP Certification Program are pleased to have participated and collaborated, along with many other national nurse practitioner organizations, in the development and validation of the Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Competencies: Adult, Family, Gerontological, Pediatric, and Women's Health. The project was funded by the US Department of Health & Human Services, Health Resources & Services Administration, Bureau of Health Professions, Division of Nursing and coordinated by the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
As a participating organization in this consensus-based project and as an organization endorsing the competencies, AANP is posting them for use by our members and other NPs. This is provided as a PDF document. To access the complete report please click here
