FDA has reached a new milestone in our ongoing efforts to protect kids from tobacco. FDA has conducted more than 27,500 inspections of tobacco retail establishments. Most retail establishments inspected by the FDA have been found to be in compliance with the law. However, 1,200 Warning Letters have been issued to tobacco retailers who are not following the law. The fact that our nation’s youth can walk into more than 1,200 tobacco retail locations and still obtain access to these deadly products is 1,200 too many. Read our press release.
